Matt Skinner - Writer/Director

Matt Skinner is an established Cinematographer in the film business in Ireland. His experience includes work with Jackie Chan and Morgan Freeman and with Cinematorgraphers David Tattersal BSC (DoP to George Lucas) and Douglas Millsome BSC (DoP to Stanley Kubrik). In the 80s he worked as a theatre director, primarily in image based theatre with Iomha Ildanach of which he was Artistic Director. Circus Born is his first full length project as a screen director. Its focus on live performance and the community surrounding the performance is a return to his first love, image based theatre.

Tom Maguire - Producer

Tom’s background is primarily in the financial aspects of film making. He was production accountant on a number of significant European feature films, including Thomas Vinterberg’s ALL ABOUT LOVE, as well as the Irish productions MYSTICS, HEADRUSH, FREEZE FRAME, ON THE EDGE and THE BORSTAL BOY.

Tom is a graduate of the Film Business School, EAVE and Reading University , has produced nine shorts, two plays, three features and four documentaries, two of which he also directed. He has been instrumental in developing co-production relationships for Borderline with a number of international companies. He speaks German and Dutch, reads Danish, Swedish and Afrikaans and is learning Spanish, Italian, Polish and Irish

Tom now splits his time between Ireland and South Africa.
